Catalonia of the 13th century, and particularly the cities of Barcelona and Girona, emerged as prominent center for the study and development of Kabbalah: an esoteric discipline and significant school of thought within Judaism.
The Girona International Research Workshop brings together academic researchers, students, educators and enthusiasts to explore the rich traditions of Kabbalah in Catalonia. Led by renowned scholars, participants delve into the enchant texts and the rich world of research revolving them, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and the sharing of knowledge.
The Girona workshop aims to deepen and broaden understanding of Kabbalah as a critical and academic field, to encourage learning and research, and to contribute to the nourishment of this Jewish-Catalan heritage.
