Tikkun Shavuot Night - Art & Study with LABA

Tikkun Leil Shavuot at the Institute for Jewish Studies Barcelona is a night of learning, artistic exploration, and community gathering. Inspired by the tradition of studying Jewish texts throughout the night, the Institute extends this practice through LABA Barcelona. After several months of study based on classical sources, LABA Fellows present works in progress emerging from their artistic practice, sharing them with the public for the first time.

ShabbaTarbut

ShabbaTarbut (Shabbat + tarbut, “culture” in Hebrew) at the Institute for Jewish Studies Barcelona is a monthly gathering welcoming Shabbat through shared dinner, conversation, and artistic exchange at Casa Adret. Rooted in Jewish tradition, the evening invites reflection on rest, community, and the wisdom of Shabbat, bringing together creative members of the community for an intimate cultural encounter.

Jewish holidays, like other calendars and festive traditions more broadly, create moments for gathering, learning, and shared experience. At the Institute for Jewish Studies Barcelona, they are marked as opportunities to come together around culture, thought, and tradition, creating a space where people can meet, organize as a community, and explore the meanings of the Jewish calendar.

MaBat - A Creative Perspective Toward the Bat Mitzvah year

An annual workshop for girls in their Bat Mitzvah year, together with their mother, father, or a meaningful adult figure in their lives. Designed to accompany this significant step into adolescence, the workshop offers a space where creativity, Jewish tradition, and contemporary themes intertwine.
